A Day In Hand aims to encourage and inspire same-sex couples to hold hands in public. Same-sex hand holding (Sshh) is a silent revolution because nothing needs to be said: just hold hands with the one you love, your friends, your relatives, anyone you're proud to be seen with. The site of same-sex couples holding hands can stir many emotions in us: desire for a better world, a glimpse into a more tolerant future, an inspiration to do it yourself. It also challenges stereotypes of Lesbian and Gay people by showing real-life couples existing in diverse communities. This is our own personal pride; a pride you don't have to wait once a year for; a pride that increases self-esteem in relationships and paves the way for others to do the same.
